SCOPE
At 1.5km wide and 5km long, Mt Whaleback Mine is the single-biggest open-pit iron ore mine in the world. Boretech were contracted to drill 220m of 160m Power Conduit under two haul roads.

Boretech’s crew were contracted to tackle extremely solid rock under two haul roads in one drill shot.
Our talented team were able to steer the drill head in this extremely rough rock conditions.

Boretech celebrated a company milestone, with Mt Whaleback incorporating our longest drill shot to date. Incredible work by the Boretech team and our exceptional driller, Dennis.
