Project: Kathleen Valley Lithium

Liontown Resources Limited at the Kathleen Valley Lithium project.

Construction of the world-class Kathleen Valley Lithium Project is well underway in the Goldfields. The site comprises of some incredible engineering schedule of works like the 5x 212m Tall Wind turbines being built to Power the Mine, a massive 30,780 Solar Panels installed as part of the Solar farm.

• Mobilisation & Demobilisation to site with 2 x Large Drill Rigs.

• Supply of all Material for HDD.

• Project Management of SOW.

• Welding and testing of all Conduit.

• HDD of 2 x 560mm Sleeves underneath the Goldfields Highway.

• Sleeve 1 – 7 x power conduits

• Sleeve 2 – 315pe water pipe

• Vermeer 40x55DR S3 – For pilot on both shots.

• Vermeer D60x90 S3 – Reaming and pipe pull on both shots.

• Kemtron Tango 500 Mud Recycler

Rock – Gabbro rock

With this area containing a lot of Aboriginal Heritage Land, all work areas were kept to a minimum & minimising excessive disturbance in the area was a big focus. Clearing boundaries had to be strictly adhered to with foot traffic allowed only along the bore path and kept to a minimum. Another main challenge was concern around granite being present. Through multiple site visits and meetings with the Client both parties decided to have Hard Rock Tooling/compressor/hammer equipment on standby throughout the job to ensure no unforeseen delay to the schedule.

Completion of all the works safely and efficiently within the time frame allocated to the works.

Once our 40x55DR had completed both pilots for the bores, our client requested that we complete the Telstra feed from the existing network to the Mine Main Gate.

This consisted of over 200m of 110pe comms and 2 x C8 pits. The add on works were completed through Genus Plus Group.

16 days onsite exclusive of Mob & Demob.
