CHALLENGES

– Crews faced many challenges on this project such as contacting abandoned granite sea wall.
– Unknown services and abandoned services with no DBYD due to being inside private property.
– We tackled these challenges as they came modifying the drill shots constantly extending drill shots from 100m to 297m to allow required depths and grades to make successful bore passes.
– Multiple 150 to 297m bore shots in reclaimed ground filled with ruble with no allowance for flow holes. The crew maintaining flow through modifying mud mix and flow rates as the ground changed.
– Bore shot Planning in a heavily congested area crossing critical assets such as oil lines, multiple HV powers, Fibre optic cables and large critical mains all in a very sensitive environment.

TEAM SUCCESS

Our crew took these challenges head on completing some of the longest shots consecutively that Boretech have completed to date – emptying all the racks on our D60 drill on multiple occasions.
